Shamrock offers Internship opportunities throughout the company for college students who have demonstrated academic commitment and success, leadership and organizational involvement. Our Internship opportunities are designed to provide individuals with first-hand experience in their area of study as well as learning about Shamrock’s business operations and culture.  Students earn a great hourly wage while gaining valuable experience and training in a dynamic industry. 

The Finance Internship begins with an introductory training program which includes an industry overview and systems training. The learning process is accomplished through a combination of formal training, as well as on-going, hands-on guidance with a mentor. After training, we provide an opportunity to work with experienced professionals. As part of this Internship, you will gain exposure to all facets of the industry and learn key business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively assists in maintaining financial accounts and processing customer adjustments
  • Assists with managing customer records and updating account information
  • Achieve hands on experience with interacting with clients in all aspects of customer service
  • Other duties as assigned  

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of college experience; maintain a strong GPA
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in the transportation or finance industries
  • Ability to demonstrate skills necessary to perform in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Self-directed and strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer systems knowledge (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and typing skills
  • Multilingual skills are a plus
