Responsibilities

  • Send aging reports to debtors as needed
  • Correspond with debtors that have requested 1 point of contact
  • Research lost/missing payments
  • Assist with RTS Financial Debtor unapplied research
  • Assist in training account representatives on collections best practices
  • Build or repair relationships with difficult debtors
  • Work closely with the Credit Department to help debtors improve credit scores
  • Notify the Credit Department of unusual payment trends
  • Work with debtors with balances to customize ways we can work together most successfully
  • Review high-risk/concerning accounts open invoices to find answers/resolution
  • Contact debtors requiring original documents and request they convert to paperless billing
  • Forward payment remittance details to accounting or the department
  • Assist with buyout account collections/correspondence
  • Assist with account collections when someone is on vacation or leave
  • Review processes/procedures involving collections activity to keep gaining efficiencies
  • Send e-mail macro blasts on behalf of multiple teams in the Factoring department as directed
  • Review processes from a macro & micro perspective for understanding and to identify ways to improve
  • Additional duties surrounding helping close open/past due invoices for the Factoring department
    as assigned

Qualifications

Ideal candidates must possess an outgoing, dynamic personality along with strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a team environment. Candidates must possess skills in Customer Service, Product Knowledge, Quality Focus, Problem Solving, Market Knowledge, Documentation Skills, Listening, Phone Skills, Resolving Conflict, Analyzing Information, Attention to Detail, Critical Thinking, Follow-up, and Multi-tasking. Additionally, preferred candidates will possess the following:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong customer relations ability/experience with analytical and technical skills. Detail oriented and able to use critical thinking to determine the larger issue
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office (advanced comfort in Excel is a plus), basic knowledge and understanding of PC applications. Data entry skills and experience
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines and communicate results
  • Ability to work in a team environment and own projects individually
  • Comfort switching gears quickly as priorities change throughout the day/week
